About SportBuilder
Built by a Sports Dad, for Sports Families
My name is Adam Beeler. I live on a lake outside Edwardsville, Illinois with my wife Meagan and our two kids — Matthew, 10, and Emersyn, 11. They were born 363 days apart. Irish twins, as they say.
Both my wife and I grew up as athletes. Meagan played softball and volleyball, and was talented enough as a singer to go to college for it. I played every sport I could find growing up, eventually settling on golf and wrestling in high school — where I was a state runner-up in both. I went on to wrestle Division 1 at Eastern Illinois University.
Sports didn't just shape who I became. They shaped how I parent.
The Problem I Couldn't Stop Thinking About
For the past two years I've been coaching Matthew's 10U baseball team. Every single day I work with Matthew on his swing, his pitching, his catching, his throwing mechanics. We work on the details — the small adjustments that add up to real improvement over time.
Then I get to practice and I can see immediately which kids have been working at home and which haven't. More importantly I can see which kids are practicing the wrong things — throwing with bad mechanics, swinging with poor form, building habits that will hold them back for years. Most of those parents want to help. They just don't know how.
At the same time Emersyn — who plays soccer, tumbles, and just made her junior high cheer team after a long stressful week of tryouts with her whole group of friends — needed a different kind of help. Cheer and tumbling coaching is expensive and hard to find. A parent watching their daughter do a back handspring in the backyard has no idea what to look for.
And then there's golf. I've been playing my whole life. I know what a good swing looks like. But most dads standing on the driving range with their kids are guessing.
That's when the idea hit me.
"What if every family had a coach in their pocket?"
What If Every Family Had a Coach in Their Pocket?
What if a parent could pull out their phone, record their kid's baseball swing, and get real coaching feedback in seconds? What if a cheerleader could film her tumbling pass and find out exactly what to fix before her next practice? What if a golfer could get a swing analysis without booking a $150 lesson?
That's SportBuilder.
We moved to the Edwardsville area eight years ago specifically for the school system and the sports programs. We wanted Matthew and Emersyn to have every opportunity to grow as athletes and as people. Edwardsville is a community that takes sports seriously — and so do we.
SportBuilder is built for families exactly like ours. Families where the kids play multiple sports. Families where the parents care deeply but can't always afford private coaching for every sport every week. Families where the kids want to keep improving between practices not just show up on game day.
Our Mission
SportBuilder exists to give every athlete — from the 6-year-old just learning to throw to the adult working on their golf swing — access to the kind of coaching feedback that used to require expensive private lessons or a coach who happens to be standing nearby.
We support Baseball, Softball, Golf, Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Running, Cheerleading, and Tumbling — because real sports families don't have just one sport. They have three.
One app. Every athlete in your family. One subscription.
A Note From Adam
"I built SportBuilder because I wanted something I could hand to every parent on Matthew's team and say — here, use this at home. Work with your kid. It doesn't matter if you played the sport or not. This will help. And I wanted something I could use with Emersyn too even though I know nothing about cheer tumbling technique. And something I could use on the golf course with both of them. If you're a sports parent, a coach, or an athlete who wants to keep getting better — SportBuilder was built for you. Welcome to the family."
